Couples begin with a tour of the property with their wedding specialist, covering the extended lobby level to the extravagant 12^th floor with views Bob Hope once proclaimed "one of the most beautiful on earth." Afterwards, the group gathers for a meeting in the hotel's state-of-the-art Event Planning Room. No ordinary room, the Event Planning Room is a haven for all things marital: a flat screen TV and collection of DVDs on wedding ins-and-outs; a selection of ceremony and reception playlists and CDs; and an answer for every event question in the hotel's extensive wedding library. From linens and signature cocktails to flowers, cakes, and entertainment, titles on everything a couple needs to know and more are at their fingertips.

Hotel ZaZa Houston boasts over 17,000 square feet of event and pre-function space, from the Phantom Ballroom to the Urban Oasis. Audio and visual capabilities are available, while custom lighting and other special requests may also be arranged.

Hotel ZaZa's lobby level features the scenic Phantom Ballroom, the most popular space due to its scenic views of the neighboring fountains and gardens; it is also the largest at 6,800 square feet. Floor-to-ceiling windows, custom chandeliers, and lush window treatments make this a storybook venue come to life.

• Brides with wedding ceremonies or receptions in the Phantom Ballroom may use the Event Planning Room as a final prep area; the flat-screen TV is connected to a closed-circuit camera in the ballroom, allowing brides to watch their guests prior to making their grand entrance.

The Fountain Room, located near Monarch restaurant, offers 864 square feet of reception space, complete with dramatic views of the neighboring fountains. Brown velvet drapes, dark leather banquettes, and leopard carpeting make the Fountain Room perfect for a bridal luncheon or reception. The Fountain room is also equipped with movable furniture, ready to adapt to a guests' space requirements.

Following a fall 2008 renovation of Monarch's formal dining room, Hotel ZaZa introduces the Ultimate Ransom, a 900 square-foot event venue enclosed by glass doors, which may be reserved with or without the adjoining Fountain Room. The Ultimate Ransom retains the same elegance of the original Monarch dining area: a quietly regal, Baroque-inspired space with soaring ceilings and plush appointments. Dark wood paneling, leopard print carpeting, beveled ceilings with recessed lighting and tapestry-shaded chandeliers give the room a subdued, decadent atmosphere - perfect for an intimate reception or rehearsal dinner.

The Déjà Vu and Hemingway Rooms both offer over 1,000 square feet of event space, and may be reserved individually or together via a connecting doorway.
